On December 23, 2022, a conference entitled “Why arbitration?”, organized by the Permanent Arbitration Court at Arbitration LLC and the Armenian National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce took place in Yerevan.
\nIn the first part of the conference, Raffi Semerdjian, who is the Secretary General of the Armenian National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce, presented the mission and goals of the organization, as well as the activities and vision of the commission of alternative ways to resolve disputes acquired.
\nThen the speakers presented and discussed some crucial issues on arbitration, particularly why choose arbitration in commercial transactions, what opportunity, and what advantages it will give to the parties. The speakers detailed those important points which should or can be regulated under an arbitration agreement and presented success stories in arbitration. On the topic listed speak Taron Simonyan, Alveen Shirinyans, Jirayr Habibyan and Lilit Karapetyan.\u00a0<\/span> <\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”2385″ img_size=”1200*500″ alignment=”center”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

From speakers Tatevik Karapetyan who is an arbitrator of the Arbitration court, a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and a researcher of UNIDROIT, spoke about The Arbitration Court of Arbitration LLC, which was founded on 09.03.2020. In 2022 the Arbitration court became a member of ICC NC Armenia, which led to effective cooperation. In September 2022, the Arbitration court and JUS MUNDI (ACALLC and Jus Mundi Announce Partnership to Make Armenian Arbitration Materials More Accessible | Jus Mundi Blog) signed a memorandum of cooperation, as a result of which non-confidential arbitral awards and decisions became accessible on an official website(Armenian Company v. Russian Company, Award, 9 June 2022.
